Kaarigar catch and my first creations !

Green tea and black coffee were my saving grace that night after my first failure. Next few days, I tried creating new designs and I must admit; now I have a much better understanding of jewellery making process after spending good amount of time with kaarigars. Acquainted with new terminology and techniques and most importantly, how the crafting work flows. The key factor here is your kaarigar and their workmanship.

Today was a cheerful day with some brand new designs and few altered ones. With hope and courage, I conveyed my designs to my kaarigar. This time I was sure about the creation and craftsmanship. He asked me few more details and essentials to develop it. Furthermore, we decided upon the mutual timeline.

On the day of promised delivery, he could not fulfill his promise, and soon I realized that it’s going to be like this and we need to plan our timeline accordingly. In few cases we need to pay more for your priority products.

Most of the Kaarigars are looking for bulk orders and almost charge few times more for limited edition designer pieces. Gradually, after few visits I was getting oriented towards the culture much more.

Finally, the day arrived to witness imagination being converted into exquisite creations. Can't express in words how happy I was to adore them in my own hands.

It was my desire since many years, to establish my own brand and now the time has come to make it happen. I classified my collection into Ratn-Dor, Kalp-dor and Nayn-dor. Here are first few creations of Oriki, really close to my heart.

Now, it was all about planning my Brand launch, however, the journey cannot be as smooth as it looks like. Being a non-techie, I took the challenge to design the website on my own........... and there will be many more tiny tales of Oriki in few coming days. Let me take you to the beautiful journey of creating a name and developing it into the Organic brand in coming days.

Definitely, its a new learning phase of life which is extremely exciting with lot many challenges and triumph.
